The Clean Advantage program automatically offsets carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions by investing in a wide range of reforestation, alternative energy, biomass, and other projects both locally and globally that are subject to change as usage, price, and other factors vary throughout the year. In addition to these projects, we work with The Arbor Day Foundation to plants trees and support their certified CO2 reduction projects. Together these investments and partners allow us to automatically provide a sustainable solution for your company, employees, and community.

Worldwide Projects


Datong River Tianwanggou Hydropower Station

The project utilizes the hydrological resources of the Datong River through construction of a run-of -river hydro project to generate zero emissions electricity for the local power grid. The plant is composed of a concrete gravity dam, release sluice, channels, power house and switch station.

Saint Nikola Wind Farm

The Project consists of a new electrical substation and 52 Vestas V90 wind turbine, each with a capacity of 3MW.By producing electricity from a renewable energy source (wind turbines), the Project will contribute to the sustainable, socio-economic development of the region. The use of renewable sources will improve the use of local energy resources.

RemTec International ODS Destruction Import Project #1

The Project consists of importation of a virgin private stockpile of CFC-12 (R-12), an ozone depleting substance (ODS), from Mexico to the U.S. for destruction by incineration at the Clean Harbors Environmental Services facility in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Hyundai Steel Waste Energy Cogeneration Project

The waste gasses created by Steel are reused by the steel mill, and the rest are consumed by the proposed project. Through this project, approximately 2,741,035MWh electricity will be sent to a power grid, and 1,285,000 ton steam will be produced and sent to Steel. Without the proposed project the rest of waste gasses are emitted to the atmosphere after incineration, the electricity generated by the proposed project will be supplied by the grid.

Wayang Windu Phase 2 Geothermal Power Project

The Project activity is the generation of power using a reliable and renewable resource in place of power generation by a more greenhouse gas intensive fuel/source. The project reduces greenhouse gas emissions through the displacement of fossil fuel electricity generation with a clean, renewable energy source.

Natural Gas Based Combined Cycle Power Generation

The project activity is a power plant comprised of 2 x 140 MW natural gas-run turbines, two heat recovery steam generators and a 165 MW steam turbine. It is a green field project developed by Konaseema Gas Power Ltd, hereinafter called KGPL, located at East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Hubei Lichuan Longqiao Hydropower Station

This project is a hydropower plant, which is located in the upstream of Yu River, Lichuan City, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province, P. R. China. The total installed capacity of the project is 60 MW (30 MW×2) with annual net power supply of 168,020 MWh.

BAESA Project

The project activity reduces the emission of greenhouse gases (GHGs) through the use of renewable sources of energy and making use of clean technology, avoiding the generation of electricity via sources of fossils fuels with consequent emissions of CO2, that would be generated if the project did not exist. Kumkoy Hydroelektric Power Plant

Kumkoy Hydroelectric Power Plant, Samsun is a true run -off river type project with 17.50 MW capacity. The project is expected to produce 49,205 tonnes of Social Carbon labeled VCUs each year.

Kepezkaya Hydroelectric Power Plant Project

This project is a run-off river type that is constructed over the Göksu River in Karaman province of Turkey. The project is estimated to produce an average of 107,587 MWh/year of electricity. The project supports the surrounding communities by providing irrigation water from the side of the head pond, and by assisting authorities in the design of larger irrigation projects

Nanjing Jinling Grid Connected Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant Project

This project is a natural gas fired grid-connected electricity generation plant, constructed, owned and operated by Huaneng Nanjing Jinling Power Generation Co. Ltd The Proposed Project will supply approximately 2,716,000 MWh of electricity per annum, to the Jiangsu Power Grid.

CGN Inner Mongolia Zhurihe Phase I Wind Farm Project

The objective of the project is to generate renewable electricity using wind power resources and to sell the generated output to the North China Power Grid (NCPG). The project site has an abundant wind resource. A decision has been made to install a total of 25 wind turbines, each with a rated power output of 2000 kW.

Chongqing Youyang County Youchou Hydropower Project

Two water turbines with unit capacity of 60MW have been installed by the proposed project, providing total installed capacity of 120MW. Annual electricity delivered to CCPG by the proposed project is expected to be 390,000 MWh.

Chongqing Chengkou County Bashan Hydropower Station Project

Two water turbines with unit capacity of 70MW have been installed by the proposed project, providing total installed capacity of 140MW. Annual electricity delivered to CCPG by the proposed project is expected to be 448,920 MWh.

Damlapinar Hydroelectric Power Plant Project

The project produces approximately 44,292 tons of CO2e per year. In addition to this the project supports local community by providing them with irrigation water. Prior to project the local inhabitants were irrigating their gardens by pumping water from the river via diesel generator operated electric water pumps.

China Guangdong Shenzhen Qianwan LNG Generation Project

Qianwan LNG Generation Project (QLGP) is a high efficient LNG (liquefied nature gas) CCGT (combined-cycle gas turbine) plant. Electricity to be generated by QLGP will subsequently displace power generation by coal-fired thermal plants and reduce CO2 emission in China Southern Power Grid (CSPG).

Coolgas India ODS Project 1

The project activity consists of the collection and destruction of ODS, resulting in a net reduction of CO2 equivalent emissions. Coolgas purchased and imported five ISO tanks of R-12 from SRF Limited, each containing 15 metric tons of substance.

Ecomapua Amazon REDD Project

This project, in the Eastern Amazon region of Brazil, will prevent 4,253.14ha of deforestation and is projected to reduce 30,024 tCO2e emissions by the end of 2018 and 1,432,278 tCO2e over the 30-year project lifespan. Residents of the project area strongly depend on natural resources. To contribute to their sustainable development, the project provides courses in how to make a living without extracting native wood.

Wind Park ‘Vader Piet’

Located on Aruba’s east coast in the Dutch Caribbean, this wind farm consists of 10 turbines and has a total installed capacity of 30 MW. Wind Park ‘Vader Piet’ supplies 126,000 MWh of electricity to the national grid each year, displacing fossil fuel-generated energy and supporting the island’s transition towards renewable energy sources. Vader Piet Wind Park harnesses the abundant wind resources of Aruba’s east coast to supply zero emissions energy to the grid.

Yiyang Xiushan Hydropower Project

The project activity supplies electricity to Central China Power Grid (CCPG) via Hunan Provincial Power Grid. The project activity is expected to replace part of the electric power in CCPG that is dominated by coal-fired power plants, so as to reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emission. The estimated annual GHG emission reductions will be 243,043 tCO2e. The main purpose of the Project activity is to generate electricity by using the renewable hydro sources to promote the sustainable development of the local region with environmental and economic benefits.

CECIC HKC Gansu Changma Wind Power project

The Project involves the construction and operation of a 201 MW wind farm, located in the southwest of Yumen County, Gansu Province. The generated electricity will partially displace electricity currently generated from grid connected conventional fossil fuel based thermal power plants, while reducing emissions of 430,588 tCO2 annually. The project is expected to produce various benefits to society as well as the environment.
